Description:

František Suda immigrated to the United States in 1871 from Bohemia. At that time, the country that is now the Czech Republic was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire governed by Kaiser Franz Joseph.

This is a copy of Franz Suda's passport. The document is signed by Franz Suda (in the middle column under "Eigenhändige Unterschrift") and an official from the Tabor district, and is dated April 27, 1871. It lists some physical characteristics of Franz as well as his address and year of birth (1837). His destination is listed as North America.
